Activity:

Students will make a list of 10 to 20 questions to use in interviewing a panel of farmers from the area.  The farmers will include a young, middle aged, old, and retired farmer.  From the answers, the students will write five journal entries depicting the planting season, growing season, harvest season, and the off season and and will describe what farmers face in each time of the year.  In the entries students should include the problems, hopes, day to day routines, and joys associated with the farming industry in our area as it relates to the world.
