Much of West Tennessee has a major problem with soil erosion.  As part of our unit on land usage, our ecology class decided to investigate some soils in West Tennessee in their natural habitat: a field.  We actually visited two different farms which had different soil types and different erosion problems.  We investigated each of the features of soil listed in the table below for each farm.  We recorded our data using our laptop computers.
