West Tennessee Agriculture:
The World VIEW

In order to appreciate the diversity of West Tennessee agriculture, you have to get out in the field.  Grab your boots and come along as we travel through a year in West Tennessee agriculture.

Because of our five to six month growing season, temperate climate, and adequate rainfall, farmers in West Tennessee grow a variety of crops.  Soybeans, cotton, corn, and hay are all grown throughout West Tennessee.  Other crops such as grain sorghum and fruits and vegetables are also grown in some parts of the region.  Beef cattle and a small number of dairy cattle can also be found in the area.

In order to give you a complete picture, follow our journey season by season through the different stages of crop production in our own backyard.
