Our Beliefs

The staff at Dyersburg Intermediate School Believes:


Student achievement increases when the school, the home, and the community make a commitment to work together to provide opportunities that will educate students so they can contribute talents and skills to society.
A strong educational program should be based on realistic goals that challenge each student to be successful.
Students should develop successful, positive interpersonal relationships and need good role models.
Effective discipline is a system that allows for individual differences, encourages student learning, and fosters a tolerance and caring for others.

Our mission at Dyersburg Intermediate School is to challenge students with diverse instructional programs that allow them to develop academically, socially, emotionally, physically, and aesthetically.
