Evidence of a Process
for Monitoring Plan - Narrative Response Required |
|
What will be the process that the Systemwide Leadership
Team will use to review the analysis of the data from the assessments and
determine if adjustments need to be made in our plan? The Systemwide Leadership Team began the process of review
by setting tentative meeting dates.
The Systemwide Leadership Team expected to meet to sustain the
Tennessee Comprehensive Systemwide Planning Process in May of 2006, in
mid-December of 2006 and in early May of 2007. Meetings for 2007-2008 are also tentatively set for
January and May of 2008 with an additional meeting to be held in September or
October of 2007. While these meetings are scheduled to involve the full
Systemwide Leadership Team, meetings conducted under the Curriculum
Supervisors meeting will be held on a weekly basis each Wednesday morning
with the exceptions of scheduling conflicts which prevent the majority of the
group from meeting or when our system is not in session. Additionally, the SuperintendentÕs
Monthly Staff meeting is tentatively scheduled for the first Wednesday of
each month. These meetings along with the Systemwide Leadership Team meeting
will provide monitoring and adjusting opportunities as the TCSPP is
implemented. Meetings and
communication such as are necessary to monitor the plan will also be conducted. In addition to team and committee review of information,
the data analysis will continue to be conducted at both the system and
building levels. This data
analysis is conducted in aggregated and disaggregated forms using
quantitative and qualitative data sources that are student centered. Component 5 of the TCSPP for the
system and Component 5 for TSIPP at the school level outline the review of
goals, action plans and specific action steps. The collaborative nature of the TCSPP and TSIPP processes
is critical to both implementation, monitoring/assessment, and in modifying
in a timely and ongoing manner these plans to bring about student success. |

Evidence of a Plan for Communicating To All Stakeholders-
Narrative Response Required |
|
How will the Systemwide
Leadership Team communicate success/adjustments of the plan to stakeholders? The communication of
success/adjustments will be an ongoing and timely process. Information about the plan will be
generated under the direction of the Dyersburg City School System Level
Leadership Team. (List of System Level Leadership Team Members above.) This
team will draw information for its communications of success/adjustments from
data provided by individual members of the Leadership Team as each member
carries out his/her role within the system. Other committees which meet will also function as
subcommittees to monitor/adjust the TCSPP or related instructional,
curricular, assessment, and/or organizational components with our
system. Feedback from system and
building level advisory committees will also be incorporated into this
process. As the System
Leadership Team gathers information, the information will be shared
collaboratively through our existing communication structure. Stakeholders will receive
information via: (1) meetings of advisory committees at the system and
building levels, (2)
meetings of stakeholder groups (Examples: Schoolwide Title meetings, Parent
Orientations, Family and Community meetings), (3) emails, (4) phone contacts,
(5) newsletters from system, schools, programs, or teachers, (6) teacher or
programmatic contacts, (7) news releases through radio or newspaper, (8)
local TV/Cable channel, (9) system website, (10) school board meetings, and
(11) other methods of communication as identified to disseminate
information. We realize
that the key to success is collaboration and communication that informs and
involves all stakeholders in the process of continuous improvement. |
