Nancy Austin

Mrs. Nancy Austin has been teaching since 1970. Before coming to the Dyersburg City School System, she taught at Ripley High School where she student taught and then was hired to finish the 1970-1971 school year. Presently she teaches in the Dyersburg City School System at Dyersburg High School where she has been since 1971. Mrs. Austin teaches keyboarding and computer applications and serves as the chairperson for the Business-Vocational Department. Since 1965 Mrs. Austin has been married to Lee Austin, her high school sweetheart. They are happy to be able to live on the family farm, where Lee farms with his dad and brother. Mrs. Austin and her husband have one daughter, Gina, who works for EDS in Vancouver, Washington. She is a member of the Palestine Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Newbern and Delta Kappa Gamma. "I am proud to be a part of Dyersburg High School, and I treasure the relationships I have with students, parents, staff, and former students. I want to be a good teacher, and I try to give 100% to school responsibilities. I am fortunate to have family and friends who always make time for me. I enjoy being with them when I can." |
